| T2w Sag: Synovial based multiple irregular nodules are noted in the suprapatellar recess, infrapatellar region dorsally to the Hoffa fat pad, posterior to the dorsal root of the lateral meniscus, and along the posterior cruciate ligament (embedded in synovial thickening). These nodules are hypointense on all sequences, but most prominently on T2 weighted images. Moderate amount of joint effusion is also noted predominantly in the suprapatellar recess. |
The listed features are typical for diffuse pigmented villonodular synovitis.
