| Radiographs show dense, linear periosteal reaction along the distal radial and ulnar diaphysis (the underlying marrow is normal) in keeping with bilateral periostitis. This patient was diagnosed with bronchial carcinoma and therefore the findings represent hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy. |
